- Software development and every interaction
For KT’s booth at World IT Show 2026 we built a full-screen video player for Windows. With no input it repeats the loop video. A hit on the left of the drum plays film one, a hit on the right plays film two, and the player then returns to the loop. During playback a second hit on the same side restarts the film, and the other side is ignored. The drum registers as a USB gamepad, and its left and right buttons are assigned in the F12 settings screen by hitting the drum.
Key engineering
- Full-screen Windows player on WebView, served by a local video server that handles HTTP Range requests
- Idle/playing state machine over three preloaded videos (restart on a same-side hit, other side ignored, back to the loop at the end)
- Learn-by-hit button mapping over unified keyboard, mouse and gamepad input (Gamepad API polling, rising-edge detection)
- Single-executable delivery and an F12 operator panel for swapping video files, with settings saved to config.json
